SYMA X20 – S for one handed flights
Coming out soon is the new SYMA X20 – S which is a brand new quadcopter featuring a one handed transmitter, flip mode, headless mode, and around 5 minutes of flight time.
This is a great small flyer at around 4×4 inches with a very thin flat appearance which makes it great for indoors but it might have some trouble outdoors due to the large surface area available to catch wind.
One other notable design feature is the non removable battery, this is good if you don’t want to deal with the battery but bad if you’d rather be able to change it out.
Exact details about the transmitter aren’t concrete but from looking at it there appears to be one control stick on the front which to me would make sense as a throttle/yaw stick.
How they’ll control the other directions I am not sure but one idea I have is that they might end up using a gyroscope for tilt controls, either way it’s very interesting.
The SYMA X20 – S is for sure an interesting little flyer and not a bad deal when you look at the unique one handed transmitter. Flight time obviously isn’t the greatest but it is within normal battery life levels for something this small. If you like the idea of the one handed transmitter but would also like altitude hold you can check out the SYMA X21 – S. Be sure to click the button below to check out this interesting quadcopter.
