Today we’re checking out the TKKJ TK111W which is a new folding quadcopter that features WiFi FPV, altitude hold, G-sensor mode, waypoint mode, and up to 7 minutes of flight time.
The arms on this quadcopter fold into the side which makes it more compact for transportation and storage. As far as the color scheme goes you get silver with orange accents and that seems to be the only color available at this time.
Since WiFi FPV is transmitted over WiFi it is likely going to have a little bit of video delay in the video displayed on your phone that will get worse depending your signal.
It can be particularly difficult to actually use throttle thanks to the delay in video, thankfully because you have altitude hold on the TKKJ TK111W we don’t have to actually worry about controlling throttle.
Video is mentioned as being 720p but no pictures of a microSD card slot are shown, this is likely an oversight on the listing but if it doesn’t have a microSD card slot I wouldn’t expect super high quality video.
You can also control this quadcopter via the phone app which gives you a few special things like waypoint and g-sensor mode.
The transmitter is a very basic design with almost no buttons buttons on the front and they are instead on the shoulders or in the control sticks. Control sticks themselves are the flat style that will feel more familiar to somebody who has played any video console in the last 15 years.
Overall the TKKJ TK111W is looking like a nice quadcopter but we will have to see if it is worth the price because not a whole lot stands out as being “unique”. That being said the WiFi FPV combined with altitude hold is great and will be even better if it records video to a microSD card. Click the button below to pick up one for yourself.
